Overview
Sparktel Recruitment are currently seeking a Civil / Structural Design Engineer to join an established engineering design team based in Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil or Structural Engineer looking to develop their design experience across a range of civil and structural engineering projects, with exposure to both office-based design and site activities.
Responsibilities
- Design of steelwork and reinforced concrete structures.
- Foundation design.
- Producing structural designs in accordance with relevant Eurocode standards.
- Preparing engineering calculations, drawings and material specifications.
- Supporting temporary works design.
- Reviewing survey and site investigation information.
- Preparing and detailing drawings using AutoCAD.
- Carrying out site visits, quality audits and recording as-built information.
- Working closely with senior engineers and other members of the design team.
- Occasionally travelling to project sites as required.
- Preparing technical reports and presenting engineering information clearly and professionally.
- 4 years Professional experience as a Civil/Structural Designer working on Utility/Power projects
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (NFQ Level 8 or equivalent)
- Strong technical and design capability and understanding of structural and civil engineering principles
- Strong IT skills and experience with AutoCAD
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail.
- A flexible approach to work
- A full driving licence.
