Overview
Sparktel are currently recruiting for an experienced Field Manager / Clerk of Works to oversee the day-to-day delivery of fibre infrastructure construction projects across Ireland. This role is ideal for an experienced Site Manager, Clerk of Works or Site Agent with a strong background in telecoms or civil engineering projects. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the successful candidate will manage multiple construction crews delivering fibre infrastructure projects while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety and programme performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising duct and chamber installation, Fibre cable installation, Fibre splicing & Road and footpath reinstatement
- Lead daily site briefings and toolbox talks
- Coordinate multiple construction crews
- Supervise civils, HDD, cabling, splicing and reinstatement activities
- Monitor quality and ensure compliance with specifications
- Manage defects and NCRs
- Coordinate materials, plant and logistics
- Liaise with Local Authorities, residents and businesses
- Complete daily site reports and progress updates
- Support monthly valuations and applications for payment
Experience Required
- 5+ years' site management experience in civils, telecoms or utilities
- Experience managing multiple sites
- Knowledge of DTTAS Purple Book requirements and eperience working with Local Authority permit systems
- Must have Safe Pass, CSCS Site Manager Card, First Aid & full clean driving licence
