Overview
Sparktel is recruiting an experienced Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a growing civil engineering and infrastructure contractor operating across Dublin, Kildare and Bray. This is an excellent opportunity and the successful candidate will work closely with senior management and project delivery teams, supporting the commercial and financial performance of multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Risk management and commercial control across multiple projects
- Preparation of financial reports and CVRs
- Budget forecasting and cost management
- Maximising project cash flow and profitability
- Client and stakeholder liaison
- Supporting the Commercial Director with project reporting and commercial strategy
- Preparation and submission of applications for payment
- Contract administration and commercial management
- Subcontractor procurement, valuations and final account negotiations
- Relevant third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- 3+ years' commercial experience, ideally with a main contractor
- Civil engineering project experience preferred
- Experience preparing and procuring subcontract packages
- Post-contract subcontract management experience
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and contract forms
- Excellent commercial awareness and client-facing abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Infrastructure projects, Utilities projects, Public works contracts, NEC and other standard forms of contract is highly desired
