Transmission Lineworker

We are currently recruiting experienced Transmission Lineworkers to join a leading infrastructure contractor working on high-voltage overhead transmission networks throughout the United Kingdom.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with previous experience working on transmission or distribution line projects, tower construction, overhead line maintenance, or related power infrastructure works.
Key Responsibilities
- Climb and work on high-voltage transmission towers and pylons (typically 275kV and 400kV networks).
- Install and replace insulators and associated tower hardware.
- Carry out conductor stringing activities and assist with the installation of overhead line equipment.
- Operate tensioning and pulling equipment used during conductor installation.
- Install anti-climb guards, steelwork components, and tower protection systems.
- Assist with tower maintenance, upgrades, and refurbishment works.
- Follow all safety procedures for working at height and within high-voltage environments.
- Complete work to quality, safety and project specifications.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Transmission Lineworker, Overhead Lineworker, Lineman, Tower Erector, or similar role.
- Experience working on transmission or distribution power line projects.
- Comfortable working at height and climbing steel lattice towers.
- Experience with conductor stringing operations and associated equipment is highly desirable.
- Understanding of transmission line construction and maintenance practices.
- Strong commitment to health and safety.
- Good physical fitness and ability to work in demanding outdoor environments.
Preferred Experience
- High-voltage transmission line experience.
- Experience on 132kV, 275kV or 400kV transmission projects.
- Experience operating tensioners, pullers, and stringing equipment.
- Previous international project experience is advantageous.
