The Client: 

Our client is one of Ireland’s power utility contractors. They are key partners to the ESB on national framework contracts. They have grown in both turnover and workforce consistently over the past 10 years. Due to this expansion they are currently hiring a range of technical and professional staff across all levels. Now is great time to join as a Line-worker! 

The role:
  • The Linesworker will perform duties various structure types of transmission lines at high voltages 
  • Lifting, climbing poles, trenching for the installation of underground cable, or working in overhead buckets
  • Installing and repairing poles, cables, and electrical equipment related to overhead transmission systems
  • Working to ensure public safety and electrical crew safety through personal protection equipment and by practicing emergency procedures and training
  • Operating a variety of different equipment, including bucket trucks
  • Completing electronic and paper reports and records

What you need!
 
  • You will be a fully qualified Electrical Lineworker with demonstrated experience in electrical transmission and have a high-level safety philosophy. 
  • Safe Pass.
  • Ability to work on both wooden poles and towers.
  • First Aid Training and MEWP Certificates.
  • A current full and valid Driving Licence.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills in English.
  • Able to travel to various sites across Ireland with occasional overnight stay as and when required. 
  • Able to work weekends and cover out of hours as and when required.

  • €22 per hour for first 39 hours  - Union overtime rates thereafter
