Overview
Sparktel are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join our client who is a leading distributor of engineering materials to the construction and utility sector in Ireland. This role will report to the Group Business Development Manager and work in collaboration with the Regional BD Team. The successful candidate will join an experienced team and will inherit a warm client base.
Responsibilities
- Business Development and Planning. Engagement with key stakeholders and potential partner organisations
- action plans to identify and convert opportunities.
- Researching and developing a good understanding of the industry and identifying trends and potential business opportunities
- Generating Market intelligence reports and updating CRM system
- Developing sustainable client relationships
- Collection of key data through customer satisfaction survey and feedback forms
- Marketing and brand development
Experience Required
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar Sales or Business Development position.
- Proven ability to develop client and build relationships
- Strong IT Skills particularly MS Office, Excel and previous experience using other CRM Systems
- Experience developing and implementing Business Development Strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel to client site for business development meetings, attend events and conferences etc.
- Previous experience and network within the construction or utilities industry would be a distinct advantage
- Full Clean Driving Licence is essential
