Overview
Sparktel are currently recruiting for a GIS/CAD Technician to join our client in West Dublin. Our client is one of Ireland’s largest providers of design, build and maintenance services to the utilities industry. The successful candidate will report to the As-Laid Manager and be responsible for updating ArcGIS with details of newly constructed water networks.
Responsibilities
- Regular reporting to As-Laid Manager
- Updating ArcGIS Records and submitting to client
- Updating and submitting InfoAsset records to the client
- Tracking changes in designs
- Conducting verification of as-laid survey details
- Liaising with Site Engineers / Site Agents to ensure accurate details of as-laid
- Conducting verification of GIS
- Scheduling GPS site surveys and conducting verification of GPS site survey
Experience Required
- 2+years’ experience in a similar CAD/GIS Technician role
- Experience updating as- builds and as-laid designs on ArcGIS
- Previous experience with GPS Site Surveys
- Strong IT skills including but not limited to Ms Office; Excel, Outlook
- Knowledge of InfoAsset Manager is an advantage
- An understanding of SQL is also an advantage
