About Us:
Our client, a prominent organization in the industry, is currently seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team. This permanent position in the Operations Department involves working on projects for clients such as Irish Water and Power Projects. We are looking for a dynamic individual to support the delivery of construction projects across various aspects of the business.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sub-Contractor and Onsite Staff Management:

    Effectively manage sub-contractors and onsite staff to ensure project success.
  • Health and Safety Oversight:

    Take ownership of health and safety issues, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Groundworks Involvement:

    Ensure full involvement in all elements regarding Groundworks.
  • Risk Management:

    Identify and manage contractual risks, including legal and financial considerations.
  • Contract Administration:

    Oversee the implementation and compliance of contract terms throughout the construction project.
  • Budget Oversight:

    Monitor contract budgets and implement cost control measures.
  • Documentation Management:

    Maintain accurate and organized contract documentation, including revisions, amendments, and correspondence.
  • Compliance Monitoring:

    Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, safety standards, and legal requirements.
  • Communication Facilitation:

    Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, sub-contractors, and internal teams.
  • Quality Assurance:

    Implement quality assurance measures to ensure work meets contractual and regulatory standards.
  • Performance Evaluation:

    Evaluate the performance of contractors and subcontractors against contractual benchmarks.
  • Reporting:

    Provide regular reports on contract status, potential risks, and project progress to relevant parties.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Full Clean Driver’s License:

    Essential for the role.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Strong Site Background:

    Qualification in Civil Engineering or substantial experience in site management.
  • Road Construction Experience:

    Previous experience in road construction is beneficial.
  • Civil Foreman Experience:

    Previous experience as a civil foreman is desired.
  • Confident and Motivated:

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with confidence and motivation.
  • Time Management:

    Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
  • Communication Skills:

    Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Project Management:

    Proven record of seeing projects through from beginning to completion.
  • Integrity and Respect:

    Integrity and respect for confidentiality and privacy.
  • Time Management Abilities:

    Effective time management abilities to meet targets.
