Salary: €50,000 – €55,000 (depending on experience)
Overview
Sparktel are currently recruiting for an experienced IT Manager to join our client based in the Kildare/West Dublin area. Our client is a leading provider of technical design, build and maintenance solutions in the Telecoms Industry. This role will report to the Head of Finance
The successful candidate will take ownership of its day-to-day IT operations and infrastructure. This role will report directly to the CFO and will lead IT performance, security, vendor coordination, and CI initiatives across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily IT operations, ensuring optimal system performance, availability, and security.
- Manage and maintain all IT systems including hardware, software, mobile devices, and networks.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal IT support and escalated technical issues.
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and upgrade IT equipment and systems.
- Ensure data security, backup systems, and network access controls are robust and compliant.
- Develop, implement, and maintain IT policies, procedures, and control structures.
- Conduct system audits and performance assessments.
- Support ISO 27001 audit processes and compliance requirements.
- Manage third-party IT vendors, managed service providers (MSPs), and suppliers.
- Manage the annual IT budget and ensure cost-effective technology investment.
- Analyse system performance and implement improvements where required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation.
- 4+ years’ experience in an IT Management or senior IT Support role.
- Strong technical knowledge of infrastructure, networks, and enterprise systems.
- Hands-on experience in network administration and installations.
- Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Excellent understanding of IT systems architecture and infrastructure management.
- Experience with network security, firewalls, antivirus systems, and backup solutions.
- Experience managing outsourced IT providers and vendors
- Familiarity with ISO 27001 standards and audit processes is advantageous.
