Overview
Sparktel are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician for our client in Co. Laois. Our client is a major Operations and Maintenance Contractor on motorways across Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and completion preventative and reactive maintenance on 24/7 electrical and mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
- Preventative and Reactive maintenance of Electrical and Mechanical Systems.
- Planning and implementing equipment upgrade projects
- Recording of maintenance activities and system administration.
- Management of external contractors’ works.
- Assist with budget and expenditure reports.
- Support with training, inductions and Toolbox talks.
- Provide On-Call cover on a rostered basis.
- Ensure Health, Safety and Quality compliance.
Experience Required
- 5 years’ experience in a similar role as a maintenance technician
- Strong IT skill particularly Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook
- Proven report writing and administration skills
- Experience of developing and implementing programmes of planned maintenance
- Previous experience operating building management systems
- Provide out of-office-emergency response.
- Work outdoors and night work
Certifications Required
- Valid Safe Pass
- MEWPS, Working at heights
- H&S Related training i.e. First Aid, Fire Warden, Manual Handling. Safety Rep.
- Full Driving Licence & Own transport (for on call-requirement)
