Overview: Sparktel currently have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll and Benefits Coordinator.  You will be responsible for managing payroll and employee benefit programs. This role requires scrupulous attention to detail, thorough understanding of payroll process and benefits management. Organisational and communication skills are also crucial.
Responsibilities:
  • Process end to end payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and upholding the integrity of employee payroll and payroll data.
  • Maintain payroll records, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and deductions. While processing monthly payroll including gross pay, overtime, reconciliation and corrections.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to ensure accurate employee data in payroll and benefits systems. Also providing general admin support to HR team.
  • Calculate payments to health insurance providers, pension consultants, credit union.
  • End of year payroll administration, including, tax, social welfare and all appropriate documentation.
  • Distributing monthly, quarterly and annual date for Central Statistics Office (CSO).
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in payroll and Benefits management.


Experience Required:
  • 3+ years in a Payroll and Accounting process specialist position.
  • Qualification in accounts and/or Payroll (IPASS).
  • Strong experience with SAP/ERP systems
  • Crucial knowledge with company systems that affect payroll.
  • Strong MS skills, particularly PowerPoint Excel.
  • Strong numeracy and analytical knowledge.
  • Confident and works well under pressure with a proven background of working to deadlines.
