Job Title: SHEQ Manager
Salary: €65k-€75k

Sparktel are currently recruiting for a SHEQ Manager on behalf of our client who are an established infrastructure and utility outsourcing company. Operating throughout Ireland, the company is undergoing continued growth and are heavily involved in providing design, build and maintenance services to the telecoms market. The Role
The SHEQ Manager ROI, is pivotal in ensuring that the company leads the way in Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality processes. With SHEQ as one of the main pillars of the business this role will help to ensure we exceed the requirements within the SHEQ jurisdiction.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Manage the SHEQ team within Ireland and be lead point of contact.
- Attend management meetings to report on SHEQ performance
- Ensure that SHEQ KPI’s are monitored, compliant, and where necessary under- performance is addressed with relevant line & senior managers
- Prepare, submit, and present the SHEQ slide deck at monthly contract review meetings
- Advise the operations teams on all matters of Health, Safety & Environmental in accordance with safety management systems and legislation
- Complete weekly on-site inspections of our activities
- Development of risk assessments, method statements, Preliminary Construction Information, and Construction Phase Plans.
- Development and maintenance of all Safety Files for each project in readiness for handover to the Principal Designer / Client
- To assist in the implementation of H&S training across all projects
- Take the lead in accident / incident investigations to establish root cause and lessons learnt and ensure reports are reviewed with the SHEQ Director for submission to the client, within the required timescales.
- Attend client Meetings as required or requested by SHEQ Director
- Support in the maintenance of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certifications.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in a SHEQ role in the Telecoms/Civils industry
- Hold a current recognised professional Safety qualification
- Be persuasive, presentable and confident with a proactive approach.
- Good level of knowledge and working with Microsoft Office 365 suite of applications.
- Qualified to provide Manual Handling an advantage.
- Hold a Full, Clean driving license
