Our client is a leading Irish owned Fixed and Wireless Telecoms Infrastructure provider. With operations across Ireland, they are continuing to expand their team of professionals from back off to the field. They continue to be a key contributor to some of Ireland’s largest telecoms infrastructure framework contracts.
The role:
Supporting the Contract Manager, you will act as the eyes and ears on the ground for the back-office project team. Using the internal company documentation and mapping systems, you will provide live data to key decision makers. This field analysis, allied to your telecoms experience, will form a critical part of the company’s design, and build operations.
What will you be doing?
- Surveying O/H (Tree trimming), telecoms infrastructure routes to validate design before main build works commence.
- Effective operation of software and hardware to deliver results in a timely manner
- Supporting the SHEQ department in ensuring best in class health, safety, environmental compliance.
- Ability to work to tight timelines, while accurately planning and scheduling your work
- Proactive attitude that generates ideas and inputs to deliverables to support the effectiveness and efficiency of the contract.
- Manage and control the auditing process for quality and compliance within the contracts.
- Review & record all proposed routes and infrastructure access points
- Propose alternative solutions while adhering to the client’s specification.
- Identify & record Special Engineering Difficulties and Risks to the project delivery.
- Complete site-specific risk assessment.
- Speaking with the public and 3rd party stakeholders to enable identifying wayleaves.
- Ensure the submitted delivery solution has no conflict with 3rd party plant such as ESB.
- Prioritising and working independently
- Ensuring Health and Safety policies are adhered to
- Managing client relationships with the promotion of customer focus.
What’s Required
- Experience in utilities ideally telecoms or power.
- Previous survey experience is an advantage, but experienced field engineers will be considered.
- Good utility network knowledge.
- Ability to read basic network drawings and mark up changes on App/iPad.
- Good eye for detail.
- Working at Heights accreditation
- Safe Pass Card
- First Aid
- H&S accreditations advantageous
- Full B Driver’s Licence
