The Company:

Our client is a long-established Telecoms Infrastructure company. Growing at pace, they now require a full-time accounts person to support their accounts department.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven accounting assistant to join the growing team. Working on a full-time basis, you will manage the accounts receivable and payable functions. You should be thorough, accurate, and honest with good bookkeeping skills. This role requires a commitment of 39 hours per week and the company is flexible in building an agreement that will facilitate your weekly commitments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The job is divided into 3 main areas:

1. Accounts Receivable

  • Invoicing clients on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Liaising with Clients accounts personnel
  • Debtors’ analysis
  • Debtors’ days analysis
  • Forecast planning by month & quarter

2. Accounts Payable

  • Uploading invoices onto financial system
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Monthly Payment runs
  • Pension submissions
  • Cost Centre Analysis

3. Reporting

  • Weekly meetings with Managing Director
  • Debtors reporting and analysis
  • Creditors reporting and analysis

 

Requirements:

  • Experience as an accounting assistant
  • Experience with accounting software packages & Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • A continuous improvement attitude is key
  • You must have the ability to work independently
  • You must have strong problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to working efficiently and accurately
  • You must have a familiarity with basic accounting principles
