The Company:
Our client is a long-established Telecoms Infrastructure company. Growing at pace, they now require a full-time accounts person to support their accounts department.
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven accounting assistant to join the growing team. Working on a full-time basis, you will manage the accounts receivable and payable functions. You should be thorough, accurate, and honest with good bookkeeping skills. This role requires a commitment of 39 hours per week and the company is flexible in building an agreement that will facilitate your weekly commitments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The job is divided into 3 main areas:
1. Accounts Receivable
- Invoicing clients on a weekly and monthly basis
- Liaising with Clients accounts personnel
- Debtors’ analysis
- Debtors’ days analysis
- Forecast planning by month & quarter
2. Accounts Payable
- Uploading invoices onto financial system
- Bank Reconciliation
- Monthly Payment runs
- Pension submissions
- Cost Centre Analysis
3. Reporting
- Weekly meetings with Managing Director
- Debtors reporting and analysis
- Creditors reporting and analysis
Requirements:
- Experience as an accounting assistant
- Experience with accounting software packages & Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- A continuous improvement attitude is key
- You must have the ability to work independently
- You must have strong problem-solving skills
- Commitment to working efficiently and accurately
- You must have a familiarity with basic accounting principles
