Overview of the Role

The Bid Coordinator will be responsible for preparing, completing, submitting, and managing technical and commercial proposals. You will oversee the full bid process from initial request to client decision, ensuring market competitiveness and favourable outcomes for the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow up with clients and relevant platforms to obtain Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and associated documentation.
  • Organise and analyse all RFP documents to fully understand specifications and requirements.
  • Request clarifications from clients and conduct site visits where necessary to ensure accurate understanding of project needs.
  • Gather and prepare all technical and commercial information required for proposals, including pricing and delivery timelines.
  • Develop proposal pricing and supporting documentation, considering client requirements, company constraints, and industry best practices.
  • Identify potential risks within proposals and related contract agreements; contribute to risk review assessments.
  • Prepare all internal documentation required for proposal validation.
  • Submit proposals via client platforms or other approved channels.
  • Follow up on submitted proposals and respond to client queries or requests for additional information during evaluation.
  • Support or lead contract negotiations with clients.

Essential Skills & Knowledge Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
  • Technical background, ideally within substation engineering, with approximately 5 years’ experience in a similar engineering or sales role.
  • Experience in contract negotiation or execution.
  • Proven experience preparing technical and commercial proposals.
  • Strong planning, multitasking, and time?management abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
