Sparktel are currently seeking a field supervisor to oversee fibre and civils build activities across the Connaught region. Manage field crews, subcontractors, and site operations while ensuring delivery to programme, safety, and quality standards. Act as the key on-site contact for customers and local authorities.
Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day field activities across civils and telecoms works.
- Plan and coordinate crews to meet weekly and monthly targets.
- Manage subcontractors and in-house teams to deliver fibre and civils works end to end.
- Oversee site surveys, materials, cabling, splicing, and reinstatement standards.
- Liaise with local authorities, site owners, and customers.
- Track progress against plans and implement corrective actions.
- Enforce health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Maintain documentation, audits, KPIs, and compliance requirements.
- Make on-site decisions to resolve issues and keep work on schedule.
Requirements
- Experience in telecoms or engineering, including fibre and civils delivery.
- Strong understanding of civils methods, reinstatement standards, and fibre networks.
- Previous supervisory experience in field operations.
- Strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel across the region.
- Good PC skills including MS Office.
