Overview
Sparktel are currently recruiting for a Quality Control Engineer for our client based in the Dublin/Kildare area. Our client is a leading infrastructure provider of Telecoms design, build, and maintenance services. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end quality assurance across multiple fibre rollout projects. This role will report to the Front-Line Manager and working closely with field teams, delivery managers, and clients to ensure all installations meet technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee quality control processes across telecoms projects
  • Coordinate with GIS, Build, and Field Leads to identify and address installation defects or data inconsistencies
  • Monitor quality dashboards and defect reports, identifying, resolving and escalating any issues
  • Prepare and present weekly performance summaries, including QC metrics and asset validations
  • Perform on-site inspections, ensuring best practices and compliance with agreed technical standards
  • Validate that QC checks are conducted consistently and logged accurately via ArcGIS and Survey123
  • Maintain detailed logs of time and activity using platforms like Geopal and ArcGIS
  • Engaging in regular client quality meetings

Experience Required
  • 3 years’ experience in telecoms with exposure to design, build, or quality roles
  • Solid understanding of FTTx build methodologies and network specifications
  • Strong proficiency in ArcGIS or equivalent GIS platforms
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and general MS Office tools
  • Ideally 2 years’ experience leading/managing teams.
  • Experience reporting to and engaging with external stakeholders
  • Full Driving Licence and Flexibility to travel to project sites across Ireland as required
